Fundraising Update: Presidential Candidate Beto O’Rourke Comes In Third Behind Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris, But Raises The Most Dollars Per Day

The 2020 presidential election is underway with an intense fundraising battle between existing candidates who have announced their intention to become Commander in Chief. While Bernie Sanders has raised the most money so far in the race at over 18 million dollars announcing his candidacy over 6 weeks ago and Kamala Harris has announced that she raised over 12 million dollars since entering the race over 9 weeks ago, Beto O’Rourke came in third announcing that he raised over 9 million dollars in just 18 days. Mayor Peter Buttigieg is also making waves, announcing he raised just over 7 million dollars since entering the race.

Taking a closer look at the numbers, O’Rourke’s daily donations average out to approximately $500,000 per day which puts him at first if you compare daily numbers. Bernie Sanders’ donations average out to approximately $428.571 per day and presidential candidate Kamala Harris who has been in the race for over 9 weeks, is averaging daily donations to approximately $190,476 per day.

It is a wide open field as candidates aim to get in front of as many voters and raise the most money possible to put together a strong nationwide campaign structure.
