Today, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked a resolution to release special counsel Robert Mueller report to the public however it does appear parts of the report will be released by McConnell and Attorney General William Barr .
McConnell said, “The special counsel and the Justice Department ought to be allowed to finish their work in a professional manner.” “To date, the attorney general has followed through on his commitments to Congress. One of those commitments is that he intends to release as much information as possible.”
Although the report found no collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign, we wholeheartedly believe that in the interest of transparency and moving forward in healing the nation, the reports must be released to the public with redacted information to protect the security of the nation.
The Mueller report has lead to indictments of close allies to Trump who have admitted guilt including Michael Flynn, Rick Gates, George Papadopoulos, Michael Cohen, and Paul Manfort but has not recommend any additonal indictments.
