Comedian Bill Maher best known for his politically left leanings took aim at the far left last night on his emmy nominated talk show Real Time with Bill Maher which airs on HBO.

In an interview with Irshad Manji, author of “Don’t Label Me,” Bill Maher defended Chelsea Clinton against students who in a viral video blamed Clinton for the New Zealand mosque shooting because of her tweets criticizing newly elected congresswoman Ilhan Omar over the Congresswoman’s recent tweets that many deemed anti-semetic.

Maher said “If that isn’t a snapshot of everything that’s wrong with the left today, I don’t know what is.” Irshad Manji agreed and said, “How do you expect people to come on board and see your social justice as justice if this is the way you are going to treat people. ” Maher expressing his dismay on how he viewed, “The insanity of connecting Chelsea Clinton’s quote about don’t be anti-Semitic to a couple of weeks later a guy” committing a horrific crime at a New Zealand mosque.

Maher further criticized the current DNA of the left stating, “Also, what I find so disturbing about this that says a lot about the DNA of the left these days, Chelsea Clinton, instead of saying what are you talking about, get out of my face you nut says, I’m sorry… it’s so in the Democratic DNA now to just automotically to apologize for evertyhing, and when you apoligize for stuff that’s stupid, you give it credence.”
